As this will be my final semester, I only have one required class I need to graduate. My question is, would it look bad if I only took this one course? I figure I can spend lots of the free time studying for the DAT, shadowing, and volunteering. I would really like to have that free time to work on other aspects of my life. My other option would be getting a minor in something, but if that's not necessary, then I don't see the point of taking additional classes I don't need to graduate.

Thanks.

Anyone? This is a fairly urgent matter.

If it is the only class needed for graduation why would it look bad?

I dont see anything wrong with taking only one class if thats all you need to finish up. Worst case is that schools will ask you about it during interviews but it would be very easily explained as its all you needed to finish. I do however think schools would like to see that you did something with your newly acquired free time.

Okay well I appreciate the help, I think I'm just going to stick with that one class and do other things with this semester. I just didn't know if getting a minor was worth it.

you should be fine.

a minor is just an add-on. If you're a sci major and want to minor, it should be something other than sci. All it does is show that you're interested in something other than the sciences. It adds a little to the "diversity" factor.
