Would these be classified as clinical or non clinical volunteering?

Volunteering in a hospice and being paired with a terminal resident.

volunteering in a autism research center on university campus....it's moatly research for the school of education, so not too medical.

I would say the second one would not be given what you've said, but it depends on the nature of what you're doing. My understanding of clinical volunteering is having interaction with patients in a hospital setting.

As for the first, I would say most likely.
