So I volunteered at a homeless shelter this past semester and the owner has a volunteer based medical clinic where you can go help. To help you need to get a certificate that is essentially only useful at that shelter and I'm going to be getting my certification after this next fall semester. Would this be considered clinical volunteering or non-clinical volunteering?
It depends on your role. For example, if you are filing records or counting pills in the pharmacy, it's non-clinical. If you are greeting patients on arrival, rooming them / taking vitals, or getting some history of current illness, it's clinical. Do you know the ways in which you'd participate?

What will you be doing? If you are dealing with patients, probably clinical.

If not, non-clinical.

I definitely will be dealing hands on with patients but it isn't an official clinic so would that still be considered clinical?
If you are working in a medical clinic with patients, it is clinical.
