So I volunteered at a homeless shelter this past semester and the owner has a volunteer based medical clinic where you can go help. To help you need to get a certificate that is essentially only useful at that shelter and I'm going to be getting my certification after this next fall semester. Would this be considered clinical volunteering or non-clinical volunteering?
It depends on your role. For example, if you are filing records or counting pills in the pharmacy, it's non-clinical. If you are greeting patients on arrival, rooming them / taking vitals, or getting some history of current illness, it's clinical. Do you know the ways in which you'd participate?
