I'm still in shock.

Never got below a 9 on my practice tests, and was getting consistent 10-12s.
my practice tests:
p vr bs
kap 1 10 9 10 = 29
kap 2 10 10 11 = 31
kap 3 10 12 11 = 33
aamc IV 12 11 12 = 35
kap 4 9 10 12 = 31 <--- walked in 5 minutes into test
aamc V 10 11 11 = 32
aamc VI 11 9 12 = 32
kap 5 9 10 11 = 30

okay, so my total score was a 32 P, which is decent, and i got a 14 on physical sciences which i never did before. but damn it! a 7 on verbal? i don't know how the hell i got such a random score. let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

It happens occasionally. I'm terrified of the same thing. There really is no answer. We just have to hope we don't throw that 7 up there when it counts.

You're in shock? I just found out my grade yesterday and my score went down on the Phys Science portion.

i guess the main reason why i'm confused with my score is that on the test, i felt like it was at least a 10-12. i mean i went straight through with no problems, and finished on time. one thing i'm thinking is that because i followed the strategy of skipping passages to do easy ones first, i may have messed up on my bubbling. well i got a's in my english classes and i'm getting a strong letter of rec from a philosphy professor in whose class i did well on the essays, so that might help a little. but it does scare me that many people say the verbal section is sometimes considered the most important, as it is the only correlate to passing the boards - at least according to kaplan's academic manager.

I've heard that verbal is considered VERY important too because its testing your abilities to assimilate as much knowledge as you can in a short amount of time. And that is am important ability in reading all those books when you get to Med School. Some courses teach you to go over all the passages first and rank them doing the easiest first. My strategy is to just go straight through and skip the ones that look hard. Then, I come back to them later. Time budgeting thing. Do what works for you.

If it makes you feel better indigoblue,

I was scoring 9's consistently on physical science section and felt that I did well on the section in April test. I also thought that the section was pretty tough but still doable. I scored a 7 on that section and I am very disappointed and looking for answers. I highly dought you had some problem bubbling because in a case like that you would get something like a 3-5 because a problem bubbling would result in a lot of consecutive questions wrong.

Way to bump a three year old thread!

hahahahaha.. Yeah that's pretty funny that this is 3 YEARS OLD!!!! Ohhh and Rajad10 who posted in the April 06 release thread had the same exact score with the same exact breakdown!!!!!!! How ironic is that!!! He's now accepted to USF COM.

Note that this thread is from 2003!!!!!!!!

Hence this was from the 2003 score release.

and they posted this on July 2nd? that's a long time to be in shock 😱

BTW the person that bumped up this post was the person that created it. Only now he has a different screenname
