When I do manage to upload my avatar, it'll be fine for a little while but then disappear and be replaced by a lame "Bluntman's Avatar" link. Most of the time though, it just gives me an error message when I try to u/l from my computer:

"Warning: copy(./customavatars/avatar76552_50.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /includes/functions_upload.php on line 350"

wtf is that? Also, when I try to u/l from a url, it says that the file is not a jpg/png/gif, when it's actually just a normal jpeg that meets the sdn size/dimension requirements.

I've noticed that other people have the little link in place of their avatar too...anyone know why this happens or how to make the little bitch behave?

There's a link at the top of the forum page that says "Avatar Abyss." I think it explains it.
