Xs for over 2 weeks - no verification

Well, the SUBJECT says it all. Over two weeks now since I received those "magical" Xs and I have yet to be verified. I called AMCAS and the man said, "You're all set. Everyone with the Xs as of now will be verified by November."

So, I "ignorantly" asked, "When in November?"

Like a deer caught in headlights, he had no response (go friggin' figure!).

"Uh, I have no way of knowing that," he responded with major 'tude.

"Hmmm," I questionably responded. "So you really can't tell me when?"

"By November, sir, like I said."

And so I dumbfoundedly hung up the phone.


AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Are these people OK or what? I feel like running full-speed into a brick wall - that would be more satisfying than that conversation. I'll let you know how the bricks felt on my face...

I'm in the same situation. I even have slashes next to my coursework...but no date processed. Kind of odd. It seems like the work has been done...I don't understand what's left.

When did you submit? I think they've had a number of threats of legal action against them for verifying out of order, so now they're really trying to do things in order. So some people who got red X's when things were kind of random may have had their verification put on hold while they finish earlier apps. This is just speculation on my part. If it doesn't apply to you and you've been waiting 2 1/2 to 3 months for verification, then I'd e-mail Nancy Tillinghast saying you will have to resort to legal action if you're not verified by such and such a date. Or have a lawyer do it.
