Anyone else get this?
Got it today and I interviewed about 3 weeks ago.
I'm wondering if I can "read into it" at all.

I got this today as well. I interviewed about a month ago and really loved Yale (it's my #1 so far).

I'd love to "read into it", but it could mean nothing. I don't know. Please post if you find something out.

btw, what it actually inside? i recently moved out on my own and my folks are still getting my mail....so I didn't actually have a chance to read it.

It's 1) A flier with "General information for 2006-2007 application year", with websites for the FAFSA, etc. . . 2) Sheet with the application process outlined 3) a checklist of crap you have to do 4) a book with "important websites for 2006/2007

I'm guessing they send it to everyone who interviewed.

I was going to post this same question. I interviewed over a month ago, and just got it yesterday. It would be nice to know if someone didn't get this.

Well, assuming Yale is non-rolling (I'm not sure, though), then their acceptances will go out after FAFSA can and should be submitted. So they're giving you the packet now. Acceptance or not, you still have to start working on financial aid before you find out if it was even worth your while...

Sorry guys, but they send it to everyone. The financial aid lady told us so when I was there last week.

According to my interviewer, the committee touches on you the week after you interview, but they don't make any actual decisions until in February, when they go over the entire interview pool and decide who's getting what.

acceptances go out in March, FAFSA is not due until June... but the do send them to everyone anyway.

Hey, does anyone know anything about Yale's financial aid? I tried finding some things online, but wasn't certain, though it seems "expensive." Also, does anyone know if they offer merit scholarships?

I know this doesn't seem fair to ask, but I have an interview offer from Yale, but don't know if I want to pay $300 to fly out there and interview for a school that WILL cost more than UMich (already accepted, in-state). If there's a shot at merit scholarships, I'll go, but otherwise I'll probably withdraw.

no merit scholarships. most elite schools don't have merit scholarships.
