Does anyone know the cost difference for shuttles between Hartford vs. LaGuardia to New Haven? Is it easier to get to New Haven from one airport or the other? If anyone who has already had their Yale interview could offer up a few pearls of wisdom I'd appreciate it.

The Hartford airport is much closer--about 1.5-2 hours by shuttle. The shuttle (called Connecticut Limo) costs about $35 dollars one way. If you fly into La Guardia, the trip is about an hour longer and the one-way ticket is about $45 dollars (I think). I live in New Haven and have always used the Hartford airport, so I don't know a lot about coming from La Guardia. Hope this helps. 🙂

Yeah the hartford airport is closer, but for me anyways it wasnt worth the extra cost to fly to Harford. It was an extra $200 compared to flying into NYC LaGuardia. The connecticut limo service (its really a bus) is what I used instead.

southwest flys to hartford. They have good rates.
