Yale Phone Interview

Hi,

Is a phone interview a part of the standard admissions process for the Yale MPH program? The reason I asked is because I received the following email message from the Direct of Admissions on Monday:

"I was wondering if we could speak briefly. Please call me when you can, I’m at 203.785.xxxx."

Has anyone else who applied for the Chronic Disease Epidemiology track received a message like this? And, if so, is this a request for a phone interview? Thank you for your time.

I don't think that is standard. I was admitted back in January into Yale CDE and I didn't have a phone interview.

I was admitted in February and did have a phone interview with an alum. I applied to the management program though, there could be different processes for different departments.

Generally there are no interviews for the CDE program, I believe the health management program is the only division that has this.
