I received and interview invitation to Yale yesterday. Not sure if there is still time to interview before decisions go out or if you are past the deadline and really interviewing for "waitlist" spots? (They send all decisions at once). Does anyone who has already interviewed at Yale know when the decisions go out? Will interviews this month be considered in that batch? Not sure when mine will be as they say not to call until Tuesday, but I wanted to see if any of my fellow SDN'ers have any ideas before I drop a lot of $$$ flying from the southwest to New Haven...

Yeah, all decisions go out together and I'm almost positive they don't interview people just for waitlist spots. When I interviewed they said that they'd be reviewing out files the following week at the adcom meeting, so it seemed to me that decisions are made pretty quickly.

And, in case you're wondering (they'll go over most of this while you're there), everyone who interviewed gets a score and then the top 100 people are accepted on march 15th or whenever decision day is. Once someone drops their acceptance, someone else is taken off the waitlist. So in the end they get their exact class size of 100.

Hope this helps.... I am a first year medical student here at Yale and i interviewed on Feb 9th last year and was accepted outright (not waitlisted). From the best of my knowledge Yale does not interview for "waitlist" spots, instead they extend interviews and then rank everyone and then extend offers on march 22 to the top 125 or so, the rest are placed in a tiered waitlist. Our incoming class had 190 "accepted" to fill the 100 spots. Best of Luck

I've been complete there since mid-august, should I even hold out hope for an interview at this point? 😳

Hi- I scheduled an interview yesterday, and the lady on the phone said it had to be in February, so I'm guessing that means that the last invites have to come out soon, but I don't anything for sure-- my invite was sent via email on Feb. 3rd. Hope that helps🙂

When I interviewed, they told us "end of March," which puts it closer to Bluntman's date.
