Hi, I'm a dutch medical student. I want to do my research elective in the U.S. and so far I've been accepted to the university of california san francisco and yale university. I'm planning to do biomedical research specifically in nephrology. Which school should I choose???

UCSF. San Francisco >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> new haven.

I also say UCSF. MUCH nicer place to live and so much fun for international students, in particular.

If cost of living is an issue, than New haven is markedly cheaper. Something to keep in mind...but in the medical community the two names are roughly equivalent and UCSF has incredible medical research.
