Cause I was putting off the personal statement until I could get my English professors to read them. When fall quarter started again, I got back on the ball. Lame excuse I know, but what can I say, I'm soooo lazy. 🙁

Even though it is late, I hope I can still get interviews in Dec or Jan or something.

Yes, I have. But I won't lie to you, you do face more of challenge. Many schools are already making admissions decisions and classes will start to fill up come December 1st so you might not be able to cherry pick your program, but given you numbers you should be fine nonetheless.

Thanks for the enthusiasm! Things started to look pretty meek when I called UoP and they said that it will take 8 weeks to process my app.

I had Gasser for 102 but I wish I had Hilt. For 103 I unfortunately got Leigh Segel...her course was so dry! You taken those courses yet?

Oh sorry, he was a good professor; I agree. But I have a close relationship with Hilt because of 120L so that's why I would have liked to have had his class. He's a really easy going guy, my kind of prof.

Yes took them a while ago, had Sprechman... he was GREAT, but maybe already retired (again).

Liked Hilt too... very friendly and helpful guy, great interaction with students, good looking too 😉 but his exams are not the easiest.

Dammit, I'm taking it with Enoch Baldwin. I just took his midterm today and it was frickin hard! He wanted to much detail out of every topic covered...

Spechman retired I think.

Oh... that's too bad that Sprechman retired. I really liked him -- learned a lot from him. I think when I took his BIS102/103 they got him out of retirement to teach. Maybe my class stressed him out too much that he went back into retirement 😉

When I had Baldwin for MCB122, it was his first time teaching that class, so you can imagine how that went. Totally disorganized and no experience whatsoever. But don't worry he gives good curves. I hope he improved this year. Good luck.

Wow. How did you guess! I'm working full-time, so I can sit in front of computer all day and pretend to be working while I surf web 🙂

BIS104, I hope you did well on your exam. That was a fun class, very practical. My professor for that class also retired right after I took it...

Wow, you sure know your faculty 🙂 Yes... but health was not the reason why he retired. He was running a cell lab off campus, and his lab made a lot of $ for the school/city/state, but the school and the lab are not seeing any of the $, because city/state taxed his lab everything they made! So he was really pissed off about all the bureaucratic @#$% and decided it wasn't worth his effort and time and threw in the towel.

But he was a very nice guy... I was lucky that most of the professors I had at UCD were very nice.
