    Hey Guys,

I'm considering a year off and I have a number of ideas. If you guys could choose to take a year off, which would you do? You can add other ideas that you have beyond the ones that I have listed above.

Whatever gives you the most money - because you're not going to have a disposable income for the rest of your life

plus it wouldnt hurt to save a little cash

Why does it have to be specifically neurobiology research? Why not research in General?

    Other ideas:
    Volunteer at a homeless shelter,
    Learn a new language (Spanish)
    Become a seamstress/Hairdresser...

I might take a year off again to pursue all these...but I think two years is enough... lol

By far my favorite post of the day. Way better than that NILF thread.

I say you work with the consulting company. You're going to need as much money as possible for this process (several thousand at least). Besides that it's always a good idea to get started on an alternate career in case you don't get in or decide that medicine is not the right path for you. Having a career history is a good way to get the momentum going on life after school.
