i just spoke to a specialist and she said that AMCAS is having problems (big surprise) with its verification system. the "date processed" that exists on the printout is INCORRECT! amcas is sending paper copies and will send out verified copies "later in the season". but again, the dates processed are wrong and very few people have been verified.

Do you mean "date processed" or "date transmitted" is wrong? Because it's been known for some time that the transmittal dates are wrong -- and only mean that they've transmitted very preliminary info anyway. But the "date processed" being wrong sounds much more serious. At this point, we can probably believe just about anything!
