I have been a visitor to SDN for the last few weeks, and I have found it to be indispensable during this terrible AMCAS fiasco. Many times, I have laughed out loud reading some of your silly threads! I was not planning on joining, since I don't usually post messages or chat online, but I felt I should contribute what I can. After all, you have all been so helpful already. I can honestly say that it is truly refreshing to see that premeds are not all the same, and I am looking forward to hearing about your successes and maybe even being in the same class with some of you next fall.

By the way, I submitted 7/8, certified 7/8, and received red X's yesterday 10/8, after calling for the first time last week. Nothing has been sent though, as far as I know.

SDN is great when you want to get away from the stress of daily life. Sometimes, I find myself automatically navigating towards this site even if I have a 100 things to do. Just make sure you don't read any of the funny threads when you're drinking OJ, or you may see some orange liquid projecting right out...

Drako - not really, actually... I'm 5'7", so that's a bit taller than average for a girl. lilninja is a name that somehow stuck after I used to go rollerblading in college wearing black trackpants and a black pullover (ironically, I rarely even wear black). Silly name huh?

lilninga, I'm almost 5'11", so you are little to me! I could almost read a newspaper glued to the top of your head (heh-heh, but I won't...)! My SO is 6'4", so he makes me feel cute and demure. Sometimes I even let him read the newspaper I often glue to the top of my head.

Rhiana, I know from personal experience that UCLA's office of admissions staffs read this forum. My information regarding schools taking paper AMCAS was corrected by one such person from UCLA Medical School. However, I am not sure if my true identity was known (ie. my real, legal name with respect to my nick here)
