Hi everyone,

What are you guys' opinion about taking MCAT prep course?
Do you think it?s a ?must? in order to get high score on the MCAT?

Share with me some successful experience in preparing for the MCAT please

1) A prep course is not necessary to do well.
2) Search function.
 
it's not a must but it helps/forces most people to put in a significant amt of studying time. plus, the good teachers can show you tips on answering questions.

it's a waste of money if you're an organized person (except for the study materials).
 
Prep courses helped for me because I am not a very organized person and also not always the most discipline. So if you are like me, you might want to take one. BUT...make sure you put in a lot of time because the prep courses aren't going to boost your score a lot without you putting in a lot of effort for it.
 
it's good if you work best by scare tactics...
 
I speak from the group who took the MCAT cold. Prep courses are not necessary. However, the usefulness of any study method is entirely specific to the person.....
