Yeahhh I know, I hated doing it too lol. But at least we get half of our money back if we get a score we're happy with..

I'm waiting for my scores. I can't bring myself to study right now. I'm living in the faith that I don't have to take this awful exam again. 🙁
Not sure, I signed up a while ago. I assumed there would be a mad rush after scores come back. I'd rather spend the money and be safe than sorry later.
I was so happy to have it done that I walked out with my hands up in the air and all the testing guys were laughing at my sweat soaked shirt.
I didn't think about the stupid test for a whole week after I took it. lol
And now I can't STOP thinking about it!

MD/PhD applicants kinda need a 35+ MCAT to be seriously considered. I know I was panicking about the same thing back when I was applying MD/PhD. Now that I'm not, I just need a strong MCAT to make up for my weak clinical experience and interviewing skills.
Had my first MCAT nightmare.
I had a dream I was sleeping and woke up to check my email. For some reason I decided to go to MCAT THx and saw that my scores had been uploaded. I thought it was weird that they came out but decided I was happy to see my score. I ended up getting a 3 PS, 6 VR and 8 BS. I was freaking out, thinking about how I could have done so poorly. I logged in and out multiple times, same score was always in front of me. I began to think, how is this possible? My averages was always 30+, how did I drop so low. I even remembered waking up in my dream, so I "knew" I wasn't sleeping. I began to panic and thought about signing up for the next one, thinking this one must have been a flaw.
About 30 minutes later in my dream, I woke up for real. I almost went to pick up my study material before I realized that it was indeed a dream.

Any chance of the scores being released before the 24th? Do they ever grade exams earlier than they expect
I took mine a few years ago but it was released a few days early if I remember correcctlu
IDK, we did have fourth of July in the way. Even if they do release it earlier, I doubt ours will be that early cuz of the vacation...
But then again, we're the only test in June, so I think they might be a bit more efficient with our scores.
That was my summer with the mcat. I didn't start again-- should start pretty soon though.
Yeah me too. I told myself to start verbal ASAP, but I have been putting it off.

Lol! Chill. Clearly you didn't read the remarks earlier in the thread because you would have seen that he said it before and was pulling our legs. Everyone's THx reads 'You have no scores yet.'

I guess I took too long of a break from SDN... Almost gave me a heart attack...
I had my first MCAT nightmare last night!!! I had a dream they released our scores early and I ran to the computer and saw that I got a 10P. UGHH! I had no idea I was capable of being so neurotic! But damn was I sure happy to wake up this morning and learn that it was only a really horrible horrible nightmare.

any retakers? I just checked my score, just for the sake of it (knowing they won't be released until the 24th) and it just shows my old score, it doesn't say anything about the one in the 06/21/12. is that right???? I KNOW I didn't void it.. I'm freaking out a little bit.. hehe

Counting down to something else may make the wait easier. For example, I'm counting down to The Dark Knight Rises.....then I'll only have 4 days till MCAT release.
Ok, I just thought of something. On all the AAMCs that we took, we NEVER had a topic repeated after tested on one passage. What's the probability of us having the SAME TOPIC tested twice in PS? I am thinking that one of the passages might be experimental. Clearly, I am going mental waiting for the results. I hope I don't need to retake...
One of those has to be experimental. I mean, a subject that almost never shows up on any MCAT showing up twice on ours? I'm calling shenanigans.
Plus, the other passages were fairly routine so I don't see how they can be experimental.
I don't know how I'm going to do on PS and BS, but I'm fairly certain that my VR will be a single digit.

I felt like I guessed the entire verbal section.
I started Verbal off strong, then read a paragraph, felt like it would be a difficult passage, and went to the next passage. I did this a few times, which wasted time from reading the first paragraph of the hard passages. Even when I came back to them at the end, I ended up guessing more than I felt comfortable with.
At this point I am resigning to a retake and have been studying pretty good.
The more I study, the more I realize how unprepared I was on 6/21. It won't happen again!
MCAT dream: I couldn't find the Thx website. I google searches it, looked through my browser history, etc, it was just gone! Our scores were supposed to be out, but the website disappeared. It was horrifying.

Definitely won't get to your app verified in the next two weeks. They are almost a month behind right now.
I say apply to one now and wait the 9 days to apply to more. That way you don't shoot too high or low and waste money. You can still add schools while waiting for your application to be verified.

I know I applied to a lot of top schools. However, I definitely don't want to repeat this process next year so once I get my scores back I will add schools to the list. Plus, I just got FAP, so I can apply to 14 more schools. I will save those schools for ones that fit my score range.
No refunds. But that's fine with me. My parents took 6 months to give me their tax information so I wasn't expecting it. They finally sent it to me and the whole paperwork process took 3 days. I already applied to 14 schools, so I guess I get 14 more for free?

I only applied to 7 schools which are all in State
I am pretty sure if I don't have a shot at any of my In-State schools then I don't have a shot anywhere else so I just decided to save the money and apply to only In-State schools
