What have people found to be the most efficient way to review your aamc practice exams after you have taken them? How much time do you spend? Do you thoroughly go through the passage again, the question stem, reference your review books, etc? Thank you.

Here's what I do for the few that practice exams I've taken.

As I'm taking the exam, I marked every question that I don't feel confident in my answer to. If I can reason it out on my own, I don't mark it. If it an answer I get only by POE after eliminating all the wrong answer choices I mark it.

I always go over all the marked answer as to why the answer the way it is even if I got it right through POE.

Hope that helps.

I just read through each question and solution making sure I understand why I get the questions wrong that I did and also double checking my thought process on the ones I got right.

In addition to all the good advices above, I also would look at other incorrect answers and see why they are wrong. For example, choice A is the right answer because of..., while B is wrong because the passage didn't even mention it. C is wrong because the sign is opposite, and D is wrong because D's topic is not relevant to what the passage is talking about. Understanding how/why you got the answer right is just as important as how come you know for sure that other answer choices are wrong.

Furthermore, especially in verbal, maybe you can also look at where in passage you get the answers from. For example, you got this question wrong and its answer is implied from the line 56-57 in this passage. And highlight that line. At the end of the day, are those highlighted lines towards the end of the passage? The beginning/end of body paragraphs? Maybe you should pay more attention as the passage progresses? These might help with your thinking process for the next practice exam.
