Awesome, thank you! But is there a way to change the subject to have 2008 instead of 2007 so that people will know to read this thread?

I have applied to many of those schools but only received secondaries from Columbia, Meharry and GW. Is it because my AMCAS is not verified yet? or maybe they are too busy or something?

I don't believe UT-Memphis is out yet... I read the original post of who put that there and it sounds like they were referring to the "Yes, we have received your AMCAS; now you are under review for secondaries" email. I could be wrong though.

If anyone has the secondary prompts for Boston University, Tufts, Albert Einstein, Mt.Sinai, or NYU, could you please post them? Thanks so much!

No essays for Albert Einstein, but there are a series of statements and if you check any of them you need to clearly explain why you checked it (e.g. if you took time off between high school and undergrad or undergrad and med school, if you aren't done with the pre-reqs yet, etc.).

I got an email from Iowa this morning. It said they are going to start screening and will send another email later with more info. Has anyone gotten a secondary from them?

Received an email invite this morning. A few optional essays, the rest are yes/no questions (and of course, a $100 bill)
The optional essays (10,000 character limit each) are: Were you a full time undergraduate student during the 2007-2008 academic year? If not, please explain Do you wish to include any comments, other than your AMCAS personal statement, to the Admissions Committee? Were you ever the recipient of any action (e.g. dismissal, disqualification, suspension, etc.) by any college for unacceptable academic performance or conduct violations? If so, please explain

have people really gotten UCSD or simply the email notification saying they got their application? Seems to be a little confusion regarding that one, especially since their website hints that secondaries might be a little while.

I just received an email from Virginia Commonwealth saying that they have received my AMCAS and that it is under review. They screen before sending out secondaries, but I thought I'd let people know that there has been communication.

I know that Einstein has their secondary online, but their website says not to send it in until you have received an email acknowledging receipt of your AMCAS. I was wondering if anyone has received an email from them yet... I had been having some problems with my email before and was wondering if I might have missed it.
Thanks! |

If it is anything like last year, I'd imagine no essays unless you are doing some sort of MD/PhD program thing.
When my friend applied last year she said there were no essays to the HMS NP app. Here is the post by Carameldelite from last year's secondary thread regarding NP: I think the Harvard description should be more detailed. Unlike the UPenn secondary which REALLY has no essays, Harvard does have an essay question for anyone who is not currently an undergrad: If you have already graduated, briefly summarize your activities since graduation (4000 characters). I don't know how to update the link, but whoever is willing to do it, go ahead and work your magic. HST requires the following according to last year's thread : ESSAY FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE HARVARD-MIT DIVISION OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (HST). We strongly recommend that you prepare your essay (4000 characters max) using a word processing software program, and paste it into the space below.
