I'm a PGY-I looking to leave my program in the midwest and was wondering if anyone knew of any upcoming openings in any midwestern or northeastern programs?

i dont know of any, i was actually looking into changing programs myself in the northeast, any advice you get please share and i will do the same.

My girlfriend is an OBGYN resident @ UMKC and one of the interns is dropping next year so they'll have a II year opening in July.

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center: Newark, NJ
Unexpected PGY1 preliminary position available. Interested candidates must have six months of training in an ACGME accredited ob-gyn residency program. Forward cover letter including reason for leaving current program, entire ERAS application with CV, 3 letters of recommendation (one MUST be from the current Program Director), USMLE 1, 2 and 3 (if available) scores and ACGME Case Log reports (OB summary, Gyn Summary and Primary Care Summary). Northwestern University: Chicago, IL
Interested candidates must have six months of training in an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency program or equivalent. Please send the following to Renee Poland, residency coordinator ([email protected], 250 East Superior Suite 05-2177, Chicago, IL, 60611): a copy of your entire ERAS application, Dean’s letter, a current CV, a cover letter including reasons for leaving your current program, one letter of recommendation from an attending physician at your current program, medical school transcripts, USMLE 1 (above 210), 2, 3 (if available) scores, current ACGME Case Log Summary and ECFMG certificate (if applicable). PGY2 position available July 1, 2010, due to a career change. Interested candidates must have successfully completed one year of training in an accredited ACGME Ob-Gyn Residency Program, no exceptions. William Beaumont Hospital: Royal Oak, MI
PGY-2 position available January 1, 2010 for 2009-2010 academic year. Interested applicants must have successfully completed 18 months of training in a fully accredited ACGME Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Candidates should provide a copy of an entire ERAS application, including an updated CV, an updated personal statement detailing your interest in our program, USMLE transcripts (Steps 1,2 and 3, if available), medical school transcripts, Dean’s letter and three letters of recommendation. One of these letters should be authored by the current Program Director and must include a summary of your performance to date, a list of your satisfactorily completed program rotations with dates, a current ACGME Op-Log report, and your CREOG In-Training Exam scores.
