I know it’s density increases from 0 to 4 degrees. But what happens after 4 degrees?

What’s denser? Ice or liquid water at 4.01 degrees? If liquid water is still denser at 4.01 degrees, then when is the “breakeven” point (this is all assuming 1 atm pressure I guess)?

This is somewhat unrelated but: Do colligative properties only apply to things that dissolve fully into solution?

What if I put a semi-soluble salt? What about if I add an insoluble alkane (like C100H202)?
