We are using the MCAT in exactly the same fashion that we always have.
You should apply as if you had a 28.
National norms would put your chances of success at around 60% if that is your only MCAT. Your actual chances are somewhat lower due to your state of residence.
The MCAT is an important element of holistic evaluation. It is the only standardized measure we have.

Jefferson
