What is the difference between the two and is one better than the other? Which type of lab does Temple and NYU have?

I can't speak for Temple or NYU, but at my school those two names both refer to the lab where we drill on plastic teeth for two years.

at some dental schools, the preclinic lab has actual DentSim units, or patient simulator units to help you with feedback.

most dental schools, has a simulation lab where the lab is just a head to attach the typodonts and you drill on the plastic teeth.
