Did anyone else receive this message on Infosource regarding University of Maryland:

Your application has been processed and instructions on how to download a supplemental Maryland application from the web have been sent to you via email. As soon as you have completed the supplemental application, you may mail or fax it to us @410-706-0945. An interview date will be assigned to you as soon as we receive the supplemental application.

Should I be worried that I didn't receive an e-mail or a letter? I've never seen Infosource be quicker than the school at anything, and I know Infosource is pretty unreliable anyway. Anybody have any similar experiences?

I don't recall receiving an email from Maryland as I am pretty sure they sent everything to me via snailmail. I would give them a call tomorrow (the secretary is very pleasant) and see if you can clear any confusion.

I got the same message, but I think via e-mail. Then, they sent me another e-mail containing instructions for the supplemental application, as well as a link and a password to use to download the supl. appl. If I were you, I'd call them asap.

I got the same message via infosource. However, they sent me my supplementary by snail mail today.

when did you guys apply?
and when did you hear back?

so how did they notify you - email or snailmail? just curious.

btw, ediddly, is it possible that the letter got lost in the mail/sent to wrong email address? infosource still tells me that my app is 'recieved/waiting for additional info,' and in my experience it's a bit behind the times... definately call them.

yeah im definitely calling them tomorrow, this is a bit strange. does anybody know the relative numbers of in-state/out-of-state applicants they accept?

I called them, its all cleared up 🙂 does anyone know how long after you fax the forms to them they respond with an interview date?

congrats!

no, am in the same boat; i just faxed them today. (one wonders who snailmails them in 😉 ...)

btw, were you able to access the residency requirements site? i wanted to check - almost positive i don't fulfill the reqs, but i wanted to check and couldn't.

if i move to MD for school, though, i can become a resident, right?

From the info at the interview they pretty much let you know its almost impossible to get instate residency.

Students at UMD said that it is not hard to get instate residency if your spouse works in Maryland.

how many out of state accepted, how many interviewed to accepted; im hoping for an acceptance or two on dec1st and a md interview would be sometime thereafter so I need to know if its worth it. Also Ive heard their new building wont be ready by fall 05 (ive heard more than a year later) what have u guys heard. New facilities would be nice but not a transitition. thx

I was wondering the same about intervied/accepted. I thought I remebered that the building will be finished late 2005 like after the first hal of the school year. From what the building is projected to look like it would be worth the transition
