Fixate tissue band system for SCS anchors?

Does anyone use the Fixate tissue band systems by Anulex for securing spinal cord stimulator anchors and if so thoughts?

Using for 2 years now, Love them.
Takes a bit of learning to get the feel of what is solid tissue to anchor to so the T-anchor doesn't pull out.

Work well in the thoracolumbar fascia, less well in the supraspinous ligament, and are a challenge (due to the angle needed and tissue purchase) in the interspinous ligament. They are very fast anchors to apply. I prefer the deep anchoring techniques over this anchor system for skinny patients

Thanks for the replies. Boston Scientific apparently has purchased the rights to this product or Anulex itself according to their rep. We use mostly Medtronic and I have never used the fixate system before, nor had I heard of it until last week when the BS rep came by. I wonder if one can still get the fixate device if they are not using BS for SCS implantation, sounds like the official transfer of the company device to BS was taking place the end of this month.

It's expensive, but hospitals can bill for it as a "device". I've been told that BS will be lowering the price.

Just briefly talked to one of their reps today, they say ok to use for SCS and on catheters for Pumps. Asked if ok to use w/ medtronics or non boston scientific ; They are willing to teach how to use them and stock the hospital w/ them irrespective which device we implant. Seems like a nice device but pricey;
Anyone use it on IT Pump catheters? curious about it potentially kinking the catheter. They're supposed to set up a meeting w/ us in next couple months for training.

Less secure than properly placed sutures; likely to loosen with time; difficult to remove completely (problematic in cases of infection); expensive. Therefore indicated IMO only in extreme cases, such as very obese patients in whom a long incision might otherwise be required.

Might want to tell us who you are and what your experience is to make anyone have a chance of believing you. And any data to back it up?

Of what you said, I think you are wrong on everything but cost.

Fixate is awesome. It now take 45 secs to anchor each lead into place instead of mucking around and risk pulling on the lead having to reposition it extending anesthesia time and healthcare cost. The price is $500 per device and totally worth it. The Boston reps will supply you. My friend told me it does not work well with the Medtronic anchors because apparently one of the eyelets is smaller. As for removal - it is very easy to cut it out. As well anything, new products should be tried and see if they are beneficial to the patient and the outcomes. I use them on every implant now.

Just used it for first time with the Boston 'clik' anchor. Took 2 minutes for 1st lead then 20seconds for next. You can feel it grab hold of the tissue and felt secure. The final knot may come over top of the hole used to screw down 'clik' anchor but no problem to work around.
It would normally take me just as long if not longer to anchor then to place leads. 👎
Now I love SCS AND anchoring 😍 Thank You Fixate
