do i actually need to know the biochemistry that he includes in his lectures?? Idk if its more for the MCAT..or I need to know em too (the amino acids, etc.). Feeling quite overwhelmed by everything so don't know if I can do it.

Tollens reagent, hemi-acetal......etc...i don't think i can fit anymore info into my brain anymore lol. havent even really worked on other subjects

You definitely don't need it if you've had any kind of biochemistry course in the past. And if your orgo teacher covered basic biochemistry (end of the book) you'll be good. I'd just go over the quizzes!

Do we need to know the exact structures of purines and pyrimidines?..

I remember a question (I think it was from destroyer) about comparing the size of purine to pyrimidine. The explanation said something along the lines of "Just remember purine = 2 rings, pyrimidine = 1 ring"

I actually had a question about each one of these two topics. It might be worth your time to skim this info.

Yeah well i know the size but was just wondering if we are responsible for identifying a specific base (i hope not! That would be a lame question lol)
