This is odd for CA OCD people not to have rushed to post the secondary prompt on the prompt thread. I would hesitate to say they're out to the common applicant. Not to bash on Smooth as he very well could have it. Do not wet your pants over it now.
 
Describe a difficult situation you have had to overcome in your life or during your college academic experience. How do you feel this will prepare you for a career in medicine?


Who would you consider to be the most influential person in your life and why?


Each applicant brings with them goals of what they want to accomplish as a physician. They also have their larger dreams with regards to what they hope to accomplish in their lifetime. In a brief paragraph, please describe how you would want to be remembered at the end of your life.


there's some other question for the PTSP and rural program too..
 
How many people here have already gotten the UCD secondary?

I have gotten UCLA, UCI, and UCSD but not UCD
 
Me either... maybe it's one of those situations where a few secs trickle out before the main surge...
 
the post from last year has the following question: Clinical Experience - Pick one item you selected above and describe in the space below what you did and how it will make you a better physician. (600 characters), also refers to research, other work, and leadership experience. Is this question on this year's also? If so, what does the choice item refer to?



Is it also a 600 character limit for essay q's? Thanks so much!! =)
 
none here either .... yet. (just got UCLA yesterday ... got UCSD, UCSF and UCI 1-2 weeks ago).
 
erm..yeah it is 600 characters...not a lot of space to say much
 
So my status page is finally working (they had trouble uploading applications from AMCAS), but I'm not sure what it means. It says "Please remember to send application fees to" and their address, and it has a bunch of checklist items such as "Application received from AMCAS" and "Application complete". Does the presence of these list items mean that I have been granted a secondary, or does everyone's status page look like this initially? (I have received no email regarding a secondary.)

I'm a first year at UCD, and I wanted to let you know how amazing and undersung this school, faculty, fellow students, student run clinics and curriculum are (oh, and did I mention the brandy new medical building and upcoming surgery center?). IMHO the admin hasn't done as much as they could to sing this place's praises, and if you haven't already you should definitely consider applying to UCD - it really is a top tier school on the west coast...under the radar!

Doesn't Davis admit 90% in state or something close to that? I'm pretty sure most in state people know what Davis is and already applied. Preaching to the choir! 😛

So, this tells me that out of staters don't apply to Davis in disproportionate numbers to what the matriculated numbers would suggest.

Just wanted to let other ppl know how great this place is.

Clinical Experience - Pick one item you selected above and describe in the space below what you did and how it will make you a better physician. (600 characters), also refers to research, other work, and leadership experience.

And if it is, what does the "selected above" refer to?
