"An Ivy League-trained Queens dentist was shot dead execution-style Sunday in a Forest Hills playground as his 4-year-old daughter watched in horror.
Daniel Malakov, 34, was shot three times in the chest just before 11 a.m. at the Annadale Playground by Public School 175, where he was meeting his ex-wife to hand the little girl off for a visit.
Malakov, who held degrees from Columbia University and NYU, won custody of little Michelleka in the past week, his grieving family said."

I find it ridiculous when people bring up the name "Ivy" in totally

While the OP wrote the title as a sarcasm (as an attempt to bash the Ivy leaguers),
I genuinely think that stuff like this is one of the reasons why people might want to go to an Ivy school.

Even when the Ivy degree is totally irrelevant to something (as in this case), people mention about it. This is a proof that there is more respect for Ivys.
