I'm done with DAT !!

I got

PAT : 18
QR : 20
RC: 19
Biology : 21
GC : 21
OC : 30
TS : 23
AA : 22

I'm worry about my PAT score. Is it too low or should I retake it?
Please give me some feedback ~🙂 Thankyou!

nice breakdown thanks, I can totally tell that you should retake.

great scores! I don't think you need to retake

anyways, how did you study for the Organic chemistry and Biology? any tips?!

thanx

Why do you act like people owe you?
Anyways I think you have some solid scores, I wouldn't retake. Good luck

Why does the OP act like people owe him/her? He/She has not contributed one thing to this form, the first post just listed the scores, and then immediately asked for feedback from everyone else.

To the OP, your scores are great.

she was talking about emmie's sarcastic response that came after the op's post. and judging from emmie's "stressed" thread, i think it's evident she needs to take a chill pill and go release that stress somewhere other than a forum.

+1

People aren't required to give you a breakdown, I'm pretty sure it's not in the sdn rulebook. However, you could ask nicely and maybe they will be happy to provide one.

That's ok, no one said everyone's required to give a breakdown...

Someone jumped on Emmie's back asking why she thinks everyone owes her something and I said, "wait a second, it's the OP that's acting like that from my perspective"

If the OP doesn't want to give a breakdown, that's perfectly fine. The strength of this site is in those that contribute. I just don't understand the reasoning behind critizing a contributing SDNer for a sarcastic comment towards someone who hasn't done anything on these boards. That simple.

If you can't tell the difference in tone between the two posts, I don't know what else I can say. I doubt the OP had some evil plan to get information without giving us a breakdown. I'm not trying to rail on Emmie, but there was a much nicer way of going about that.

The OP, judging from their single post, is probably a recent lurker who is pretty new to the site. Maybe they are not used to how things are done here. That doesn't mean we should all jump on them for not knowing what to do.

My point is, the response really wasn't necessary, and there is a much better way of going about it so that everyone gets what they want (Emmie gets info, OP gets opinions), instead of immediately getting angry with the OP.

....... oooooohhh thank god for chill pills, what would we do without them??? lol

Relax children!!!!
You can't expect a first timer to know SDN's tradition. My first post on SDN was exactly the same. I thought I could list my scores and people would give me some feedback. But then I saw some harsh comments on my post and I realized that people won't give you much feedback unless you contribute something to the forum. In my opnion, however, this is stupid. If you want to give someone feedback and provide them with help do it, because you really like to help, not because you want to get something back in return. The OP has asked for your opinions. Give them out if you want and keep them to yourself if you think he doesn't deserve them.
You don't have to expect people to give back something in return for every post that you make.

It was my first time using this forum so I did not know about the tradition of this forum. Please understand me 🙂

Ok... so on my test day.. I just realized that we are only allow to use
marker with board instead of pencil with scratch paper.
After my exam started, I realized that my marker don't work. omg...
For the future taker.. please make sure that your markers work.. before you start your exam.
For this reason, I was not able to use my own strategy for PAT on each section, which made me run out of time.

Bio; most of the questions were straight forward but there were 3~4 questions that were very detail questions. I studied much for taxanomy part but I only got very simple one question on that. I used Kaplan, DAT achiever, top score, Cliff notes and DAT destroyer.

GC; it was much easier that I thought. Not too much tough calculations.
DAT destroyer, Top score and DAT achiever really helped.

OC; Luckly, I got a full score on this section. For studying, I used mainly Kapan book, and for solving the problem, I focused on DAT destroyer. Nothing was very tricky but the best way to do well on this section is I think you should review many times and get used to reagents so that you can answer them quickly 🙂

PAT: I struggled as I told you before. my marker did n't work.. I found pattern folding was hard and complicated that kaplan. DAT achiever PAT is considered harder than real test I think.

RC; I was not well prepared for this section and not confident. But I was lucky enough to answer two passages on calcium and DNA microarray, which were faimilar with me. My second passage was about the brain and I struggled understanding it but after spending 20 min on this section I just guessed unanswered questions and moved on to next passage.
Don't just do two passages, because i think there is a chance that 3rd passage is easier than either 1st or 2nd ones. 🙂

QR: When I practice for this section, I always had a time problem. It also happen with real test. I was unable to answer about 5~6 questions at the end but I got score 20. Since I struggled especially with word problem and trigonometry, I practiced buch of problems, such as KAPLAN, Barrons, Cliff notes, Top score, DAT achiver, DAT destroyer. Questions are not hard but it just takes time. Make sure you don't make any calculation mistake while solving the problem. Stay calm and solve it step by step, then you will do a great job ~🙂

It that much better than my 1st post? I hope this helps for future test taker. Good luck to all 🙂😍
