Topscore makes my laptop overheat and turn off. I just installed it today, and this happened. Any of you experience this problem? I'm trying to contact them b/c my DAT is coming up soon, and they don't take phone calls!! Is Topscore able to be installed on multiple computers?

your computer is the problem, not topscore. your comp prolly is in serious need of more RAM and no topscore cannot be installed on multiple computers. that would undoubtedly run the topscore people out of business. get your computer fixed.
it's been fixed already. they switched the motherboard out last month. i think this model of toshiba has been recalled before. but i dont' have money to buy a new laptop. but now it's acting up again.

dude then I dont know what to tell you. If you already installed topscore on it then that is going to be a problem. You could try e-mailing them if they dont take phone calls but I dont know how much good that is going to do or how effective they are at getting back to people via e-mail since I've never had this happen to me. worst case scenario is that you're going to have buy another copy and fix it on a comp that works properly.

Many Toshiba's overheat like craaazy. I had one, and once, it wouldn't turn on cuz of the heat. I stuck it in the freezer, and it turned on again. That, of course, lasts 3 minutes.
The problem's that the computer fan's inadequate to cool off the hot-ass cup and ram chips. Buy yourself a laptop cooling pad. It a platform to rest your laptop on and constantly blows air inside it. It goes for $25 at Fry's/ Outpost.com

Do you have laptop cooler? Try using that.
If your laptop is overheating then I suspect that you either have bad heat sink attachment and/or bad heat pipe.

People online at tech websites say, in particular to this model, that this "laptop heatsink gets clogged and the laptop overheats, improperly grounded top cover causes the laptop to freeze up and reboot, badly designed DC jack causes the power failure."

Achiever only lets you install on one computer as well. But...if you have technical difficulties...the guy who wrote the program actually picks up the phone (seems like a one man operation). Seems like a pretty nice guy and was pretty helpful when I had questions
Same thing happened to my laptop when I got topscore. This was 1 week before my test date and about a week or so after I received the software. I emailed them and told them the issue and begged them for another license key - they emailed me one the following day and told me it would expire in 2 weeks. Perfect! So they're not that shady and and they are understanding.
They ARE shady! (Are you affiliated with them?) I sent them 3 request forms day after day starting Sunday! Got only 1 email response from them asking for times I'm available for support via telephone; I responded 2 days ago and still haven't gotten a call from them! My exam is next week! And they know!
