If you go through PharmCas to apply the grades are averaged when reporting your GPA. PharmCas does not allow "Do Overs"

It depends on the school. Most will average the grades like PharmCAS, but some will replace the grade (you have to look at each school individually).

hi guys and gals,

thanks for the input. do you know of any other schools off the top of your heads that replaces the lowest grade with the highest instead of avg. them together?

yeah, umkc is one school i've heard of, but i did some research and their program is 5 years. i'm just curious but i've done all my pre-reqs already, so will i still be there for 5 years say if i get accepted there?

thanks and happy holidays!

it all depends on the schools you apply to, some schools average the grades out and some just take the better grades of all the repeated courses..........

Well, my college transcript says I have a 3.08 GPA because my First D in Intro to Visual Arts with my 2nd D in Intro to Visual Arts.

PharmCAS says I have a 2.72 because they take both grades into account as if each class counted.

Yes, it will still be 5 years. Yes, you will have to pay an extra year's tuition, but the way I justify it is that your pharmacy curriculum will be more spread out and more like 14-15 hrs per semester rather than 17-18 hrs per semester.

I'm in the same little boat..I just finished my 1st semester of my freshman year and had the Biology teacher from hell..she was one of the nicest teachers in the world but she teached like a maniac. She was one of those teachers who was more interested in covering the material than actually getting understanding. Anywho I got a C in the class which made my G.P.A drop miserably 2.93🙁 ! So now I'm debating whether I should take Bio I over because I know that I really need to have good science grades.
