Anyone hear anything from West Virginia University? Of all the school that I applying to, this is the only school that I haven't hear anything yet. No secondary, no application fee request. Anyone heard anything?

Tho a friend from last years cycle who starts this month at WVU didn't get her secondary app request until October!
 
I received my secondary from WVU in the mail August 14th. AADSAS sent out July 21st. I live in New Jersey so it took two days to send to me, postmark on the envelope was August 12th.

Btw, i started a '2008-2009 west virginia secondary application thread' so maybe it'll be best if we pick one thread to post on?

hmm i live in NY
n i mailed my out at late june, and yet i haven't recieved any word from them
 
rewJW, Do you have close ties to the state of WV? I did not receive anything from them yet.
 
I also recieved a secondary from WVU in the mail. The thing that was a bit irritating is that all of the "supplemental" information was no different than the aadsas application. Just a quick way to make $50 I suppose.

(Sorry for the delay, haven't been around.) Nope, no ties to WVU at all (or any d-school for that matter, for me). I guess I should take it as a good sign that they sent me one so swiftly? lol..
 
Yeah got secondary, sent it back today, it was really really simple.
 
they send u guys a email?
cuz at this pt i still didn't received any contact from them, should i call them? my application was send during late june
 
One of my buddies an I each got supplementals within the last week via snail mail. That was the first we'd heard from them as well. I wouldn't panic too much. You'll probably get one soon if your app is complete and you are a competetive applicant.
 
finally got the supp via snail mail today...the letter inside says Aug 15 the envelope says it was mailed Aug 18th but i only got it today (Aug 25)...wtf? does it take THAT long for mail to get from WVA to Ohio?? kind of odd especially since it says on the letter than you need to send it back within 2 weeks.

the supp app looks pointless anyway, no essays - just asking for the same logistical info you put on AADSAS
 
the secondary is the one that ask u for the application fee too right?
I am getting very worry, at this pt still nothing from them.
 
i just looked at the website again it said:
July/August Dental School begins reviewing applications and sending secondary applications to select candidates.
does that mean I have no chance?
 
Thats only when they start, you still have a chance
 
I just received my secondary app saturday (dated Aug 28th). AADSAS states that they didn't send a mailed copy out until Aug 18th. Thats a pretty decent turn around time if you ask me.
 
nothing so far.........they received my app on july 28
 
I just got a letter from wvu today. They want me to come for an interview on the 26th this month. Anyone else get an interview?
 
thanks! Yea I'm from a rural area in wv. From what I hear that ups my chances a bit.
 
Yeah I goto Marshall university. I have 2 associate degrees already from another local community college. One of which is in dental hygiene. If I get accepted this cycle I won't even have a bach degree by the time I start.

Science gpa: 3.30

Gen chem 15
Rc 20
Overall as 17 in everything

Not the greatest in the world but good enough I hope
