i guess i should post my breakdown. aite so here it is:
First off don't study for like hours straight. i studied 5.5 weeks and in the first week only studied like 2 hrs a day. then after that i got more into it. what i did was i woke up in the morning and studied 3 hrs, then during the day just do whatever you want to let your brain relax. i went to the gym like 3-4 times a week to keep in shape. i even got stronger since i started studying lol. at night do another 3 hrs. make sure to get practice programs like topscore to monitor your performance.
Bio: used destroyer, cliffs ap bio and kaplan bb. pretty much those covered most of the material that was on my test and some questions were really similar. yes there were random questions on it as well just like everyone says, but don't let those discourage you! you'll probably have an some knowledge about what question asked and the answer choices. oh and use SPARK CHARTS! it has pretty much covers the basics of most things you should know all in one big chart lol.
GC: all i used for this was destroyer, kaplan bb and spark charts. kaplan is a good way to make a foundation and destroyer, although it is overkill, really helps to apply your knowledge because it offers a variety of question types. and again spark charts also has this condensed so that you can just look at it for a quick refresher. the questions on dat were very basic and calculations were really easy. as long as you understand the basic concepts, you should do fine. i didnt do so great in gchem freshman year in college and if i can do it so can you!
OC: wow im so happy about this section. once again used destroyer, kbb and consulted the ochem book 9th ed by solomons and fryhle for any thing i wasnt sure of. kbb + txtbook sets a good foundation and destroyer just help you apply your knowledge to a variety of question types. it even made the questions on the dat seem easy lol. once again make sure you understand the basic concepts. nothing tricky, you just have to know your ochem.
PAT: hands down get CDP!! i got the 10 test version and did one like everyday. if you go through all of them, do another round. practice makes perfect here. i thought i got at least like a 23 but w/e.
RC: okay i got piano'd. it was the first passage too.. anyways i got a lower score than i wanted because i got kinda scared when i saw it. although it was a harder read than the other 2 passages, it was doable. i just wasnt able to relax until near the end.
QR: okay time was really the factor here. the questions seemed a little harder than what i practiced with on destroyer and topscore. it was hard to do the word problems under the time limit but it is what it is.
hope this helps 😀
