Because its 1 percent change, the same as 1/100 or .01

Is the answer in the answer key incorrect? Shouldn't it be 10^3?

Im confused on here everytime i do the calculation and the same way they layed it out i get 10^4?

It's just a typo in the explanation, the answer is still A (10^2 kg).

Got it. Converting cm^2 = m^2 means you take the square of the conversion number 👍
