Can someone tell me the 4-yr cost at Columbia that was provided during your interview day? Trying to crunch some numbers lol. Thanks guys.

year 1 = 85,042
year 2 = 86,218
year 3 = 89,432
year 4 = 88,943

4 year total = 349,635

Does anyone know how they are financing their dental school education, if you do indeed decide to take Columbia's offer. Apparently loans for health professions are capped at 250,000.

Any international students have any information/ideas/advise/ on how to go about financing for 4 years?

deposit in. see you guys on the upper upper west side.

im curious to all those who were accepted and plan on attending... what was it about columbia that "sold you" on the school? i have an interview on january 20th, and what's selling me is the curriculum (the strong sciences and that 120 hours during the 3rd and 4th year that we get to specialize with) and research opportunities, but was anyone else on here duly impressed with something i havent mentioned? i've heard that they are revamping the clinical exposure and am just a little too anxious to wait a month to hear about the school lol. thanks!

The p/f/h really got me hooked, and the class camaraderie was amazing too (they did this chant after someone yelled their class year) and everything seemed new that we saw which I liked. I actually ended up choosing Penn solely because of a gut feeling, but hey now there's an extra spot open! Good luck on your interview and make sure you explore the city a little!

How does this 120 hour thing work?

It's pass/fail/honors, but I don't know about the other thing

Two questions:

When was the deposit to hold your seat due for dec 1 applicants?

Anyone know when they will roll out another batch of acceptances for people interviewed dec 2?

I think it's December 30th.

Diana said we'd begin finding out our statuses mid-January.

I got a phone call from Dr. Zubiaurre with the good news this morning 🙂

Got the call last Fri Jan 6th, got the acceptance package today in the mail. I interviewed Dec 9th. Looking forward to meeting you guys!

a lot of people got waitlisted on 02/13. I interviewed on 01/20 and was told I was on the waitlist when I emailed, but never received the paperwork, whereas others have. I know one guy that's heard absolutely nothing and he interviewed the same day as me. not sure what to make of any of this. mind u, he had a 27AA and im sure had an amazing interview.

Interviewed 2/10. Got the acceptance call from Dr. Zubiaurre 2/17.

So pumped!!! :highfive:

Congratulations! Do you happen to know how many seats are still available?

oh wow congrats!! your interview must've been great!

anyone else heard back besides the waitlisters?

Does your AADSAS say waitlisted, even though they haven't gotten back to you yet (officially)?

Nope.. the status still says "Invited for Interview (November 29th)"

I truly have no idea what to make of that, but I sent in a deposit to NYU so it wont be the death of me lol

Thanks guys!! There were at least 15 spots left on the day I interviewed because they told us we were all interviewing for a seat. I know that at least two other people I met on the interview day got accepted and that one of them is depositing for sure as well. My DAT and GPA were pretty good but nothing outrageous. I just tried to let my personality shine through my personal statement and the interview. If they didn't like me for who I was, I had acceptances at other good schools and that was something that I could live with. For everyone on the wait list, keep your heads up! There's going to be a lot of movement in the next few weeks with interviews finishing up and double-depositors having to choose before April 1st. Good luck guys! 🙂

Got the call from Dr Zubiaurre this morning, after an interviewing 1-13 and wait listed 1-20. Im looking forward to receiving the acceptance package!!! Anybody started looking for housing yet?

Just got the call today! Brought in from the waitlist.

Does anybody know exactly what grade qualifies as "satisfactory completion" mentioned in the acceptance?
