Quick question guys. Since my semester ends before may 15th. I would like my professors to start writing my LOR before that time. Thing is the AADSAS only opens on the 15th. Am I missing something? Are the LOR forms already available or do I really have to wait until the 15th get the form, then somehow find my professors since the semester is over and have the write my LOR then?

The only information on the form that you won't have until you create a new application is your AADSAS ID number. Here is a copy of the LOR form to which you can fill out, and give to your Professors. Tell them you will email or call them with your AADSAS ID number on the 15th or 16th to inform them of the number. They can just add it to the form and it will be ready to send.

The other option you have and probably the best route is to see if you can go through the Pre-Dent/Pre-Med Advisor office. At my school they keep my LOR's on file and when I need to send them I just call them and they are sent. If you go this route then all you have to do is have the Professor send your LOR to the Predental Office and then after you create your Application stop by the predental office with the LOR form and it will be on it's way to AADSAS.

thanks. So you think that using a 2005 form is sufficient? I am a little skeptical of doing that though. Has anyhne else used last year's forms for their LOR when they applied? Also I thought that the letter of Rec would ask some sort of question about me to the recommender so the at least know to stay on topic or something, no?

I don't know wether it would be a problem or not. Like I said, option two is the best route for you. I made the LOR form available in case you wanted take the first option. What you see is what the applicants of 2010 class used and it was sufficient for them. If your really worried then just wait until the application becomes available, because that is the only way you'll get the LOR form. Anyway, how hard is it really to get in touch with a Professor if you make the necessary arrangements now. If you think about it, you know the application will be available on May 16th, so ask your Professor how is the best way to get in touch with him or her May 16th. To be honest I think you are over thinking this, just figure out how you are going to contact your Professors and get over it. It really isn't going to be that hard.
