Thank you very much for that, Jeff. I am looking at a bad commute for an EM rotation and I was wondering how I could use that time without spending money (other than on gas).

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be extended to the free med student EMRA membership

Will definitely start using that. I have been using Audio Digest EM, which is usually free at academic libraries.

Btw, this is not a plug for Audio Digest, nor does this indicate any gunner tendencies in me...the format was great at places like the gym, and helped me to learn in a way different from lectures and rounds.

For those who have used both, how would you compare them?

Yep, the EMA and EMRAP benefit is only for resident members.

I have AudioDigest, EM and the others I've discussed above. I'm not a huge AudioDigest fan, although they have fine information. They just strike me as a tad drier. EMA and EMRAP are a touch more irreverent and, I find, cover topics that seem to come up in my practice more often than those on AudioDigest.

Plus, the fact that I had to pay for AudioDigest as a resident while EMA and EMRAP were free, may have had something to do with my opinion.

Just in case anyone with either of these companies reads this, the free benefit to residents works for them, too. I'll be subscribing to both EMA and EMRAPs in July when I graduate. They've hooked me.
