I just got back from the MSTP revisit last night, I loved it! I made my decision a while ago, but this just reinforced everything I had loved about Michigan during the interview. Can't wait!

Congrats! MSTP will be an amazing experience, the breadth and depth of research at Michigan is just phenomenal. My fiancée is doing a PhD in pharmacology through PIBS, so maybe you'll meet her as well. 🙂

so excited for next year!! if anyone has any questions about ann arbor, i've been here for the past four years, worked at the hospital for three of them so feel free to ask.

whose coming to second look weekend? i have my twin brothers graduation in oxford OH that same weekend so i'll only be around thursday but if the bar night ends up happening hopefully i'll be able to meet you all there!

and i completely agree about starting a class of 2014 facebook group, for people who have actually decided to come to UofM, not just those who have been admitted. yay!

-does anyone know if there is a schedule or anything posted for classes, etc?
-where is everyone thinking of living?

Hey! Good question! I started roaming the UM website and found the following: http://www.med.umich.edu/medstudents/. If you click on "academic calendar" under curriculum resources, then you can find the 2010-2011 calendar (that's us! YAY!). I already put in all the important dates in my iCal! That website also has TONS of helpful information - educational resources, lecture videos, computers, student run websites, etc.

I have not finalized living arrangements yet, but I think I'm going to try to live in a one-bedroom downtown, walking distance from school. Over second look weekend, I'm going to stop by a few places and hopefully sign a lease!

I did order my white coat already on the website because I'm 100% sure I'm going to UM. The website is: http://www.medicineatmichigan.org/whitecoat/2010/order/. It doesn't have a deadline for ordering the white coat, but I'm sure they'll post that deadline sometime soon.
