Who else is verified? Anyone have any secondaries yet? 😕
tandski said:I am verified and I received my first secondary today! From Ohio State. It shocked me to see it in my email.
McMD said:Spiel, I looked for people with MCAT stats similar to yours, however, I only found 13's in either PS or VR...here are their profiles and you can see how they did and what their credentials were compared to your's! Hope this helps!

jackieMD2007 said:Hey--we have the exact same breakdown--both getting an 11 in BS (Strong work!) but switched in PS/VR. 🙂
Guess I have to work harder on my essays.
asunshine said:good point, Jackie. i will edit my statement to say, "all the cool kids have a 28-30" 😎
anyone here got an M? (i'm so embarrassed 😳)
OMG, that is the funniest avatar I've ever seen.gapotts2003 said:Yeah... I got an M by some odd fate with a 29. I'm retaking regardless of the M. I didn't exactly have the most time to study during the semester and then the lovely MCAT is in between exams.
So I'd like to bring it up to about 32-35, which is entirely in reach for me if I actually study a bit.
tandski said:You have to work on your essays??? I got an O, I need to work on my essays. You were up near the 97th percentile with that R. Nice work!
jackieMD2007 said:Heh. I meant to compensate for my 8 in Verbal, silly. 😉
georgeomally said:sooo what are the best schools to apply to with our 29 MCAT?
redair said:Hey, Another 29M right here. 11 VR 10 Bio 8 PS... Not retaking ..... 3.85 GPA. Applying Early and to a lot of schools. Good Luck Fellow 29 ers !!!!!

americanangel said:hey guys!!! i ended up with a 28Q witha 4.0 in biochem...I'm retaking in August but I hope I get some love from my state schools (secondaries and maybe an interview scheduled)!!!!
Good luck everybody! Hey how long will it take for my app to be verified its been about a week and a half?
That is very encouraging!! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Where did you end up deciding to go?whatev said:Hey all,
Not sure if you're concerned, but when I got my 29 before applying I was super anxious at my chances. I'm posting to (hopefully) keep your morale up, b/c I ended up getting into several M.D. schools including an ivy. When I brought up my concern of my MCAT score at the ivy interview, the dr. laughed and said I was being silly. "we know you're qualified to do well here" he said "What we're impressed with are your phenomenal LOR's and unique EC's"... And then they accepted me

Hey whatev, could you elaborate on your EC's? Very interested to know what interests an ivy....

So please don't underestimate your potential. I think they want people with interesting experiences who'll make good clinicians, not necessarily good test takers

I feel really blessed for the acceptances I was offered and feel that some of it may have been due to the fact that in college, I put my all into commitments that I was passionate about--as opposed to doing the typical pre-med cookie cutter stuff like: "volunteer at the hospital" or "join the pre med society"... do you know what I mean? Maybe some of my experiences were refreshing to the interviewers

29er right here. I plan on getting in. my mdapps is below-I am also stoked on osteopathic medicine so either way I will be happy to attend. 29 is sweet-I personally dont care about mcat scores as long as i get in-I think personality and experience are what count....
plus 29in wheels in mtn biking is where the sport is going

ok, i'm officially requesting that this be the 28-29 networking group 😛
I scored a 28 (10s in PS, BS, 8 in VR), and I think that fits in well with you guys...not the magical 30 but OK enough to go ahead and apply. If anyone thinks otherwise, feel free to boot me out...but I've been around on this forum for a while now soaking up lots of advice, so hopefully I have lots to share (and still lots to learn!).

Woooo..!!!! Grumman, S&M, and I are all pretty much triplet Randomites!!! 😀
29 here folks 🙂 My distribution is absolutely horrendous, but I'm trying to make it work! Wish me luck.![]()
I feel good things happening to you Will

Thanks man! Maybe I run into you in the mtns. Send a pm if you are heading into the colorado front range. Skied knee-deep pow two days ago on loveland pass-sic!

Thanks!
The camera is a canon s80. Very nice point and shoot with all the manual functions of a slr. I like it a lot.
congrats on the acceptance (so I hear!)
