will it say Yes/yes if you are waitlisted?
Or is a decision made when you are either accepted/rejected?
 
So we were wrong about yesterday being the day... Maybe today is the day?

my status saids unknown
is that the same thing as a WL?
 
My boyfriend interviewed on the first day and still has not heard back. Today his status on their website for final decision changed from No to Yes. Anyone else have their status change today or receive any phone calls? I wish they would call with some good news!

strange...have not heard of an unknown status...at least my status is known as no...wish it would be yes with an acceptance though
 
Strange now his status went to "unknown." I wish they would just make up their minds and let people know where they stand! I am not so sure what unknown means, I don't think it necessarily means waitlisted because it says right on their web page that the information on there is just about decisions made, not necessarily what the decisions are.

I figure its a waitlist because...
If you are accepted or rejected A decision has been made right?
If you are waitlisted/hold or whatever, they are unsure of what to do with you so they might put unknown??? What do u guys think.
Unknown... thats so great... what a lame word.
 
There's really no use in guessing. It could be anything. The one good thing is that you should probably hear sometime soon.

yea..... as of 10/27 i had a YES/YES and today i checked and it says UNKNOWN now..I interviewed at the beginning of Sept as well. strange...

If you're on the waitlist they have not made their final decision yet- they might still let you in and they might not, so it would stay as "no," right? Unknown makes no sense in any situation that I can think of, unless they forgot whether or not they made a decision and the piece of paper flew out the window.

Maybe someone should call...

LOL, since so many people have unknown, it must have been a whole stack of papers that flew out the window. Mine still says "no"...

I already called them once and they said they didn't have a decision for me yet, so I don't think I should call again. Anyone else want to try calling?
 
i cannot BELIEVE there are still only 2 people on the wall of fame.... wtf? wtf?!
 
we were all outright rejected but they didnt wanna be mean to us so they put us on an eternal "unknown" status for torment.
 
Yes, someone else should definitely call them and ask what is going on
 
I called last week but didn't get through to the office, so I emailed them as their message suggested "for the quickest response." I think that may have been on Monday of last week. I've yet to get a response.
 
i got the "continued" status as well. Its basically a wait list. or a high priority one perhaps?
This is a weird process, I interviewed 1.5 hours with one of my interviewers isntead of the alotted 30 min and i thought we had a really strong connection. Also a student I know there even advocated me directly to the assistant dean and said some positive things under the table... O well life goes on.

I had unknown and today a waitlist letter came in.
 
Perhaps Continued means they talked about you at the last meeting but did not come to a conclusion and you will be talked about at the next meeting?

I don't think so, I actually still have a "no" myself (9/25 interview), I was just thinking about what somebody said here:

I guess she's "unknown," but her actual status is "continued," which is apparently different from the waitlist - hopefully someone that gets the explanatory letter will enlighten us.

The letter I got is at home and I was counting on my parents to interpret it (from memory) over the phone.. I'll post on here when I see the actual letter if there's any kind of explanation or anything else on there that seems like it would be of any use. Good luck everyone else in the mean time!

Hey

I had a question. I filled out my secondary but I don't know where the status page is located. Is it on the same website as your secondary application? After I submitted my application it did not have a status icon or anything that I could click on to view my status.

It seems like if they rejected me pre-interview, the final decision would be no, or is there a waitlist for interview invites as well??

I think some people have received the interview invite a couple days after their status changed. There is also a pre-interview hold (see the "wall of limbo"). I think rejections also show up the same way on the status page. You should either get an email or a letter in the next few days, there's really no telling until then. Good luck.
 
ah right, i did not know pre-interview hold existed. nor did I know pritzker had a status page until today.

I will call them tommorow and find out what's up.

i know im supposed to have patience, but this is crazy! does anyone have any info on when we might hear from them again? im guessing they dont send out acceptances every week, so maybe it's a once a month type of thing?

Okay, you convinced me to call 😉
She looked my AMCAS up and then said it should be 6-8 weeks after you interview. I assume that meant I still haven't gone to committee (I interviewed 6 weeks ago). I didn't try asking what day they meet or anything, so if somebody want to do that, it might be nice to know.

I, too, interviewed 6 weeks ago - hm... that means that we should know the outcome (accept/waitlist/rejection) sometime soon... Interesting... 🙂 GL HelenaP and others waiting to hear 🙂

I think i interviewed 8 weeks ago (9/19) or i can't count...anybody from this wk heard anything?
 
When I was there they indicated that "continued" meant they were going to discuss you again at the next meeting. Basically they don't want to reject/waitlist you but they want to compare you to the next batch or two of interviewees before making a decision. They said this is because they are a rolling admissions school and need to be cautious about giving out too many early acceptances and then not being able to extend offers to people they would really like to admit.

As to why only two names are on the wall- I know of two more people on SDN who got acceptances but they are not posting on the wall for privacy/personal reasons. Hopefully some of y'all will post on there soon so we can start an official class thread!! :luck:

nope, I figure you'll hop on the class thread when someone gets around to starting it. I do think its great that at least two people who did not go to fancy brand name undergrads are in though 👍

I still haven't put up my jersey acceptance. 😳 Sometimes we just don't want things to be public knowledge just yet....

I want to hear from Pritzker so badly...they are soooo slow
