A Surprise, Mysterious, Supernatural, Murder by Death, Twisted WW Game

Once upon a time there was a pre-vet post-bacc who really wanted to do well on his vet school interviews and searched on-line to find out what interview questions were like. In a total freak of google he happened on the SDN pre-vet forum. Amazingly, he was able to talk his way into vet school where procrastination began. He began to post regularly with many people who are no longer around (Chii chan anyone? How bout Blackcat33? Or Electrophile)? and some that are, including his co-conspirator Kaydubs. It was shortly thereafter that he discovered the lounge and the WW games. He was hooked. After only a few games he decided to bring this crazy game to his fellow pre-vetties, vet students, and true vets who frequented the pre-vet forum. Soon more were hooked. But as time passed, our hero of bringing games to pre-vet started to get sad. He found that he was killed early so frequently, and so were many of his veteran friends. And the WW games degenerated into early deaths for the entertaining old-timers, and all noobs and quiet people at the end. He grew increasingly despondent… took a break from the lounge, stopped playing WW games altogether, and was ready to move on to a real life (mercy forbid). But then he had an idea… "what if dead people could still participate just like live people?" What unnatural laws must be made? How would the rules of nature be broken? Would dogs and cats start sleeping together? He grew animated and started dabbling in the dark arts. "There must be some way to make this work". He spent hours fulminating over his crazed plan, and soon strange happenings occurred in his house. Finally in a fit of drug induced haze he decided to invite you all over his house to solve his problems…..

Welcome to the twisted home of twisted SOV where we will enact our own twisted version of Murder-by-death and try to figure what exactly your host, the twisted SOV, and the hostess, the equally twisted Kaydubs, have cooked up for you? What is so unusual about the house of SOV? Well, pretty much everything, as you will come to find out. Suffice it to say that anything you know about murder by death will NOT apply in this game The true theme will have to be uncovered by y'all. About the only things I will say is…. Nah forget it. I ain't saying anything.

It is day 1. Elect a king and queen. (Only 1 vote per player). Closed ballot sent by PM to the mods StartingOverVet and Kaydubs. Read the rules. They matter.

Election is over when all votes are received.... lets try by 4pm EST on Thursday.

A) Rules:
READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY. THEY WILL BE FULLY ENFORCED.

1) The dead vote who to lynch. The living make "back-up" lynch votes, but more importantly provide recommendations for lynching. Their votes only count in the event of a tie, in which case whichever of the tied players with the most votes from the living will be lynched. In the case there is still a tie, all tied players will be killed, although completely at the mods discretion. If it is felt that the tie was purposeful, the last 2 voters causing the tie will be killed.

2) The Dead are allowed to not only vote, but also to strategize. They must still put their comments in surrounded by ****** to distinguish from the living. The only limitation is the dead may NEVER discuss specific details of their role identity or abilities, or hint at them, or confirm anyone's suspicions indirectly (no responding to bark once if you are a dog type questions).

3) The Dead are NOT allowed to PM with any players living, dead, or otherwise (except under special game-related circumstances)

4) The foxhunter rule will be in effect. Living people who do not participate in consecutive cycles (unless they are quick ones) will be killed. Dead people who do not participate in consecutive cycles will have their bones burned and their spirits will no longer be able to take part in normal dead activities. All of their posts must be surrounded by 🙁🙁🙁 emoticons. No strategizing, no voting.

5) The LIS rule will be in effect. Everyone (living and dead) must vote in every election (unless they are closed before the deadline). 3 strikes and you are out - i.e you can miss 2 votes throughout the game. 3rd miss and you hit the showers. See item #4 for details. Again, both the living AND the dead must vote.

6) No PMing is allowed (not even among wolves) until you have elected the king and a queen. Elections are closed ballot. Send your PM to the mods. You only get `one vote. Electioneering is allowed on the thread, but discouraged to keep the process dignified. You may say who you voted for on the thread if you'd like. You may lie.

7) You may directly quote messages from other players or the mods. You may NOT forward a message directly, nor use the

format. Again, I believe lying and misrepresenting is part of the game. If you can convince someone of what I said, good luck getting into my twisted mind. You just can't present it as factually unimpeachable by using the quote method. If you have a question ask.

Note: my cat just sat on my handwritten notes so there will be no more rules for now!

8) All other normal WW rules apply (no editing of posts etc). You may PM within your group once Day 1 is over.

9) Change your avatars to the "I can haz cheeseburger theme" as soon as you can. If you are still playing in JDH's game, then wait until you are killed there (as you can see, I still have my 40k avatar). What does this have to do with the theme of the game? Good question!

B) Pre-game thoughts (not required reading, just some things to think about).

1) You might want discard all your pre-conceived notions about how to play a WW game as things are all upside down here. If you are a wolf killing or villager lynching, who do you really want to be alive and who do you want to be voting. If you are a villager, what strategies do you want to learn each others identities and to communicate with the dead without giving away too much.

2) It is not entirely clear how this game will go. Is it weighted to the wolves or the villagers? Will lots of wolves be found out quickly or will they all die quickly at the end, or where they dominate? I really have no clue, but there are always mechanisms to equal things out if the game does not interest the mods!

3) Missing votes or actions is dangerous to your participation. Use them strategically.

4) Have fun. We hope this format works and can be improved upon in the future. If there are any hiccups, we apologize and please know even if you die at least you can participate.

5) Although PM-ing is not mandatory, I think it is helpful and fun. 😀

You may PM within your room of the house after Day 1 is completed.

Wolves may begin to PM (or use their wolf spreadsheet) after Day 1 is completed.
