I remember taking UL courses with former lawyers, engineers, baristas, a pre-medical student, and many other mature/nontraditional/post-bacc-like-individuals who are now D1's and D2's. They all share common interests such as making "less informed" life decisions and "I wasn't satisfied with my previous income."
