That is why SW gets the top students.. they have their pick. Oh well, I heard that they interview less than the other schools.. so if you interviewed there, your chances are better than at some places.

That's right....at other schools it's like a 1 in 5 or 6 chance, but at UTSW it's a 1 in 2 or 3 chance.

Good thing I didn't rank them #1....that's a lot of people that want to go there!! 😱

Does anyone know how many students UTSW interviews/accepts? The only information that I can find is old.

That is true, but I wonder what % of those that interviewed there ranked it 1. If in fact it is very high (say 80-90% as I believe it is), then even though they accept 1 out of 2 or 3, it may be harder to get in as a number 1 choice than any other texas school. Maybe Im rambling....

Well, I interviewed there but I didn't rank it #1. I put it at #5 out of 7. I'm sure there are plenty others like me, so that should make it a little easier for those of you that rank it #1.

I ranked them #1 since the first day I submitted rankings. My master File hasn't changed since 011005 but my validation date reads 011505.

Did you turn in a transcript recently? That is what the validation date is for.

Geeze why do so many people like UTSW? Although my interviews there went well, to spite them I am going to rank them last. I wish they could see I ranked them last! 😎

Hey JDAD, last year it was 647 interviewed and 391 accepted, so there is an excellent ratio post interview, I htink due ot the fact that many they accept have options of where to go. Good Luck!🙂

Why are you ranking them so low?

I think their current lead in the poll may errode over time. Once everyone votes I think the results will show little difference among 3-4 of the schools.

oh the animosity!
Due to non-academic concerns, I have decided not to rank SW number 1, but strictly in terms of academics they have the reputation they do for a reason and I would have ranked them 1 all other things being equal.

Jess, you're going to get in. There is NO way that you interviewed @ 5+ schools and didn't get in. I mean, if you're anything in person like you are online, then you're golden.
