So what is considered a "good" score? At what point is it a "damn good" score?

I took it in October because I test well and my GPA is pretty bottom of the pack for people applying to pharmacy school (2.9). I studied a little (the school I applied to this year doesn't require it but I will apply elsewhere if I don't get it) but didn't take it too seriously. My composite was 96% - I've been told this is "phenomenal" and I don't intend to retake, but is that a decent score?

thats a great score. i think anything 78 and up is good and 90 and up is damn good, i scored a 92 and also have no interest in retaking it. i hope you are able to justify or explain your gpa however. but, you have definitely shown enough aptitude with the composite score. good luck!

thanks.

yup I've got a long detailed explanation with a happy ending blah blah. I'm actually not too worried, but UNM is taking their sweet time processing everything. If I get an interview I feel very confident.

Considering that 99% is the highest I would say that you are pretty safe staying with your 96%, even with your low gpa. Do NOT take it over again. Spend your time volunteering or getting some pharmacy experience instead of studying for the test.

Hey I have around the same gpa a 3.0, but i took some classes over and have a 3.4 with some schools, because they take the new grade. I got a 99 on the pcat. I went on three interviews, and I havent heard anything...yet. I work in a pharmacy for more than a 1 year and half, and i have done a lot of extracirricular activies. I really dont know what a good score is, cause it seems like they so look at GPA, which sucks for all of us that have the average gpa's. Has anyone been accepted with a 3.0 or slightly below gpa and high pcat score?
