jammocah said:I mailed all my W-2 (and parents') in on April 14th and it was confirmed delivered by the post office on the 15th but it still says that I havent turned it in on OASIS. That thing is only current as of 19 April. I called Jesse and he said that he has a huge stack of W-2's on his desk and he's inputting them in now.. just is taking him a while and to call him if you dont see an update on OASIS before May 6th.
TrojanAnteater said:Cool, thanks jammocah... I actually just looked at OASIS and it was updated today... so no problem anymore....
Whats the deal with the parking pass? BerryTart says they told her May11th instead of May 1st?
jammocah said:Dunno about the parking pass thing.. I guess I can call them later..
I looked at their site and they dont even have a place where you can log-on or pre-register.. I remember seeing it earlier when I first got that flier... am I looking at the wrong site?
I talked to couple of USC pharm students about parking. they said it's not a big deal.. it's not like they will all of a sudden run out of parking (at least not at the Health Science Campus) that you will have to park 200 blocks away from the school.. 😛
TrojanAnteater said:Jammocah, the thing I did just now is Pre-Register my my account so that I "will have access to purchase a permit when they go on sale." I found that under the permit menu at the top --> Pre-Register.
But I'm looking at this page right here http://transnet.usc.edu/Parking/issuance.aspx and I don't even see the parking lots for pharmacy students Lot 71 and SSP listed.
ilovepharmacy said:and for any of you who couldn't find the real website to pre-reg. it is: https://www.thepermitstore.com/customer_info.cfm?customer_id=13 This where you must pre-reg. and then buy permit on may 11.
DimSum2001 said:Where did you guys get your student id from to pre-register for parking? I just sent in my deposit 10 days ago to reserve a seat. Am I supposed to get something back in the mail? Thanks.
ilovepharmacy said:I have not... Is there a deadline for it to be completed? All the SOP website says is the following, "The time and date for the interview will be announced at the beginning of the academic year. Attendance is mandatory and upon completion of the interview the student will be cleared to receive loan proceeds." But I guess you can do it whenever online at the Nellie Mae website like your link mentions.
but first, I need to wait and see if I even got anything for finaid.. hmph..
TrojanAnteater said:Ilovepharmacy... how could you not get anything for financial aid? Are you loaded?? 🙂
ilovepharmacy said:Oh yes.. 🙄 I wish!![]()
My EFC on fafsa was not bad (~5K).. but I'm still concerned whether USC will be manipulating the info.. some of the things they asked on the parental info form puzzled me - e.g. item 40.a "Total value of assets held in names of the student's siblings who are under 19 and not in college", item 41. "Home - What is it worth today?"
I'm an independent... but will they expect me to dip into my little sisters' college funds to pay for MY graduate tuition or will they expect me to force my parents take a second mortgage from the equity on their house (which is 10+ years old and in CA so imagine the appreciation)??
I don't know much about the inner workings of finaid... so feel free to quell my concerns 🙂
