I haven’t taken the test for real yet. I am scheduled for June 10th so it’s coming up soon. I have been taking topscroe test and also took the Kaplan full length test online, here are my stats for all of them:

I know of these scores my PAT will definitely drop. What about any others? I am most likely going to get ace the dat for some serious pat practice and will post my results. Should I expect similar scores on most of these sections when I take the real thing? I am getting seriously stressed and wanted some advice to alleviate some of it.

I seriously hope you're joking. Kaplan tests are usually more difficult than the real test everyone says. You hardly have any sections below a 20, and your GPA is a 4.0? And you're getting nervous? Sheesh.

Seriously, buy Ace the DAT for the PAT. I am sure it will save you at least a point on the real thing. I thought I still would be ok as well because I had a kaplan\topscore avg of 22, but I made a 17 on the first practice test. I have been studying like a wild man to barley raise it up to a 18. The angles are insane! Does anyone have any tips on how to determine the difference b/t one degree angles? The $50 bucks is minimal if it gets you in. But, you look very solid everywhere else. Also, how about that Org Chem on Topscore. It is quite more difficult than I expected, but I managed a 23 on the first practice test. However, I enjoy Org Chem. Good luck and let me know the difference you see if you decide to buy Ace the DAT. It surely has gotten my attention in an area I thought I could get my 18 in and not worry about.

Dude it does not matter what my GPA is. The only thing that matters is how I perform the day of my test. If I panic or feel ill prepared I am going to do horribly and in order to put my mind to rest I asked these questions. I have a problem because I have seriously been studying and can’t seem to raise my score above a 20 on AA and TS.

Well my point was, based on your kaplan scores you are gonna do FINE on the real thing. PLus with your GPA as high as it is, you'll get in wherever you want. Dont fret, and relax.

I wish I could my friend, I wish I could. I think the only relaxtion I am about to get is gonna be drug induced.

I know exactly what you mean, I was completely stressed out the past couple weeks even though I was doing pretty well on the practice tests, but such is the curse of being an OCD perfectionist. Judging by your practice scores and GPA, I think you are going to do quite well. Between now and your test just try to relax....pray/meditate/whatever and dont think about the test all that much. With your GPA you really dont need a great score to get accepted most places.

AHHHH the curse of OCD strikes again. I think it’s more of a pride thing with people who have higher GPA's. I want my DAT to reflect my GPA and as a result want to do well on the test. I don’t care if I can get in with only an 18 I want to do well and get a 30 just like everyone else on this forum.

You have a 4.0. Now go look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself wtf do I have to worry about

what im screamin.

actually, i understand where the original poster is coming from...because i was in a similar situation..

if he doesn't do well on the DAT, then his 4.0 gpa becomes questionable...

you don't have to do that great...but i'd get at least a 19 on each section and you should be fine...

Don't let your guards down regarding the PAT. It's often the section that peopel do poorly on even when they have done well on that sections with Kaplan.

Like someone mentioned, with a 4.0, you'll be in good shape if your scores scatter around 18,19,20s. My honest advice to you is not to set your expectation too high. Just try your best and let it flow. If you are worried too much about the scores, it will only put more stress on you on the test day. To answer your question regarding what you should expect on the real thing, from those numbers, IMO you should expect a 19 or 20 AA and 18-19 PAT. If you're not happy with your first score, it's still early to retake the test. Don't worry too much. Let us know how it turns out. And don't forget that a 20 is in 90+ percentile.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think the only way I am going to relax is by taking every practice test out there at consistently getting 20's on the.

The only way your gpa will become questionable is if your school is known to be "easier" than most other schools. GPA shows that you like to work hard.

Take it easy.

if you are scoring that high on topscore pro tests then you will tear up the real test. quick worrying and just go take your test.
