Anyone get into Western U (pomona,ca) ?

If you got into Western U pharmd in pomona, ca...could u tell me what ur gpa was? what u think they look for most?

i have 7 more classes that i need to take: 4 classes in fall 2005 and 3 classes in spring 2006. do u think that i can still get accepted with this many classes left to take?

I got in there (3.62 chem/bio), but go look on their website and there may be profiles of past classes so you can see what the avg GPA of those admitted. I think they look for what all the others schools look for. Make sure you look at those sample interview questions on their website, they ask straight from that list. It's also seems like a less well known school compared to UCSF, USC, UOP, so do a little research on it because they asked me what I know about the school. The interview process is actually very low stress- students and faculty involved were great.

As for your 7 classes, at least you will finish those 4 in fall, then get them your grades as soon as possible and hopefully you will have an interview in late january or early feb. With only 3 more classes left at that time you shouldn't be at much of a disadvantage.

Remember also that they don't accept any summer classes the summer before marticulation, so be sure you will finish all those prereq's in the spring.

I got in with a 3.12 and I heard about a girl that got in last year with only a 2.8

What kind of stuff did you outside of school to get in with that GPA?

I volunteered in a pharmacy for a couple of months and held leadership positions in two clubs.

what classes did u get C's in? and how many C's did u have?
