I wish you the best of luck but I think you should apply to a couple of other schools just in case..... Harvard and Columbia are very competitive.

did you score a really bad grade in organic chem or am i mis-reading it?

I also think you should apply to a couple other schools...the ochem's a bit on the low side. Of course, if you have a 5.0 it shouldn't matter. I'd add UW and UCLA just in case though. 👍

Smarty it looks like you spent most of your time during the dat on your bio section  . The 8 in organic is gonna raise some eyebrows and I would apply to more schools if I were you maybe even retake. Adcoms would like to see scores that are a little more balanced. You probably have an AA around and 18 with a PAT of 25 though which is pretty good.

I'm back. Last night, I was out celebrating my success. yeay.

Why waste money applying to more schools?

My bio score shows that I can do very well in all dental classes.
My reading score shows that I can read fast
My PAT score shows that I'll have no problems visualizing 3D objects.

Who cares about QR and Chemistry????!!!! I don't want to be mathematician or a chemist. I want to be a dentist and dentists study biology.

If anyone wants to know the questions pm me or add your questions to this thread. I have a photographic memory.

Congrats on that bio score. 😀 I have never heard of anyone scoring perfect. What did you do to study?

Hi Smarty,
Well done in BIO, PAT and Reading.
I wonder how did you prepare for your bio and PAT which helped you to get high score? is the Kaplan book? I scheduled to take DAT on July 27. Please give me some advice.
Thanks

C'mon guys. You don't actually think this guy is serious, do you? If you believe him then you need to get your head examined.

obviously you dont because you arent beggining him for questions.

Your a troll.

Two sample questions:

1 - Saurischia and Ornithischia belong to what kingdom? (Biology)
A. B. C. D.

2 - which of the following is a pterin? (Organic)
A. B. C. D.

I didn't know the anwer to #2. Are we supposed to know these things? Organic questions were disdainful. Who cares? Nobody studies organic chemistry in dental school.

If you have more questions feel free to post your questions. I'll check back.

nobody studies math, reading or perceptual abilities in dental schools either, why did you bother doing those sections? you should have just skipped them. we all know ADCOMS just look at your biology and thats it. good job youre going to be at the top of the list for every dental school out there.

That's right I don't. You can read! Although I'm not sure what "beginning him for questions" is, there is no need to even respond to the guy in a serious manner. He is either lying (most likely), or he is a complete idiot. Now go Sara, troll along now.

So if you have a photographic memory you remember all the questions for the DAT?

This has got to be the first time I've seen a score that contradictst itself more than this one. This score tells the school 2 things. You are very very smart and very very ......not smart 😀

Yes and no.

I remember the ones I looked at.
The ones that I didn't look at I can't remember.

My blood pressure went up half way through the general chemistry section. So, I had to go out for few minutes. I needed medical attention. I threw up 1/3 of the way through the QR section. They called 9/11 for me. My nice doctor is going to write that, for medical reasons, I can't focus on any test for more than 1 hour at a time. Plus, my major is chemistry and my minor is math. So, I didn't even need to study for those. For medical reasons, they'll replace 8, 14, and 15 with the average of my math and chem grades. So, my grades and my nice doctor's letter will guarantee me a spot @ Harvard and Columbia. Anyways, I didn't want to study for math and chemistry. Time to go to my favorite local bar. Gotta celebrate. YEAY.

I highly doubt that schools are going to over look those, lets be honest, horrible chemistry grades no matter how high and very impressive your other scores are.

Do we have a clause that says you can substitute school grades for DAT scores under some circumstances ?! 😉
Yeah, I faked getting sick during the DAT and they agreed to take my highest practice exam scores. And they took them section by section! Can you believe it?! I scored 0's across the board on the real thing but schools will only see my stellar Kaplan CD scores! Isn't this awesome! Harvard, here I come!

This guy thinks we are idiots.

According to the DAT booklet, you can only get a 29 on bio even if you answered all 40 questions.

How is it possible to major in chem and get so nervous on questions drawn from chem 1 & 2 to vomit?

If one is unable to sit through an exam that lasts more than an hours, how was he able to sit through the exams given in college? how will he sit for tests during dental school and the national boards? is he able to not to vomit again upon seeing a bad tooth requiering a 40 min root canal??

He is pulling everyon's leg! our nice little community here wants to give everyone benefor of the doubt. nice joke dude 🙂

My point exactly. I think it's funny the amount of people taking this guy seriously!

Yes, but you have to tell them before you take the test. After my last post I called ADA again just to be sure. One of their representatives didn't know about this. So, I called back again. The second representative told me that if you call ADA beforehand and give ADA some documented reasons (for example, a note from a doctor) they can make exceptions for exceptional cases. My case was exceptional. Call ADA and ask them directly if you don't believe me.

Obviously you are an exception. You are an exception that Majors in Chem and Minors in Math and guess what those are two of your lowest scores on DAT. Do you think all the people on SDN are fool. Untill you posted this, your joke was well taken but now you look like fool in front of SDN(thatToby Keith song).

I think this guy is starting to believe himself. Someone get the guys in the psychiatry forums to evaluate this freak!

Hey smarty, if you can't concentrate on a test for more than an hour how do you expect to take and pass your boards. I don't think a dental school is going to be begging you to come to thier school if you can't take your boards w/o throwing up all over the place and needing emergency personel on hand during the test in case you decide to die on them. And by the way, if you and your bloated ego are for real you need a serious reality check before you go to one of your garanteed interview you think your going to get. I like to believe that most dental school don't just look at stats and with an attitude and ego like yours I think you might be unpleasantly surprised about receiving those acceptance letters.

I am not worried at all. Today, my uncle assured me that everything would be fine. Gotta go to my favorite local bar. Cheers

are these scores legit? if so, congrats on bio, qr, pat.
unfortunately, i think adcoms generally won't agree with you that its all about bio in D-school. they wouldn't put orgo/math if you didnt have to have at least some grasp on those subjects. obviously you're not studying to be a chemist or statistician, but they put those sections in there for some reason, so why not do well in those subjects also? i would suggest applying to more schools, i have a feeling harvard and columbia will look down on those lower numbers. good luck, that is, if this is real.

well, good job on bio. I'm glad you have no prob getting into those schools with such a obscure score on DAT(Not to be mean). However, I encourage you to take care of your health problem ASAP because College is a joke compare to Dental school. You have to be physically strong as well to keep up. So hope you the best of lucks. And once again CONGRATZ! Hope to see you in Harvard.

Ps. Plz don't go to your favorite local bar anymore, you might be harming yourself consuming all those nasty stuff. So Please get well for me. Until we meet each other.
