Hey Everyone! I'll be attending MCHPS - WORCESTER next year, and I think it would be nice to talk to some of the people who plan on attending. Ooo that sounds amazing! One thing is for sure, you will definitely appreciate that warm, sunny weather a lot more once you've lived in the Northeast for 3 years!😎
 
Hey, I'm probably going to MCPHS for sure.

I'm getting my shots next week...

I really want to live in that new Living and Learning Center. I have the prices from this year but its hard to interpret.. (type a, type b..)
 
Hey All, I'll be attending next year as well!! I'm going to living on campus I think, my bf is not coming with me so I can't see a reason to live off campus. Is there anyone else coming from out-of-state? I'm coming from Missouri and I have to figure out how I'm getting there 😀

hey...just had my interview and waiting on my decision. I also hope to live on campus. I loved the housing and the apartment. I live in philadelphia right now, so it won't that bad of a ride...just 5 hours or so.
Anybody here who lives in the housing....how do you like it????
I hear there is gaming club that has HALO tournaments.....OHHH I can't wait....i love HALO. I can't believe they told me this during my interview....the school sounds amazing.
I really hope i get in........
 
FINALLY......got home and there it was....big and welcoming envelope waiting to be opened. I am so happy....got into MCPHS...
I guess i will be seeing some of you guys next year.

For those who have been accepted.....do you have send in the deposit check before recieving more information. info for tution and housing.....cost for the new housing and all the other details.
Some people are talking about getting shots....so i was just wondering. I just recieved my letter and that is it.
Somebody could please let me know...how i can get my hands on all the detailed information about the school, tution and housing..

Does anybody know why he is being banned? I've only been a member since October but have read many of his posts. I guess I don't really understand what he has done to get himself banned for "trolling." From what I know, he just wants to talk to others who are applying to Worcester. I've spoken to him through PM's a few times and he seems genuine. It doesn't really make sense to me.😕
 
i will be living on campus too. yay!

btw, in the Living & Learning Center, the dorms have private bathrooms & private kitchens, right guys? (they're called dorms but they set up like apartments, right? ) are these rooms furnished or we need to buy our own bed, desk, chairs, etc.?

do they have a fitness center for us to go work out? how about grocery store, is it within walking distance? i wonder if i need a car while living there. hmmm...m..

the greatest thing about this school is that it's clean. 😍 or at least it looks so. i remember the tour around the building. everything is new & clean & neat. b/f the interview, i went to the school restroom to freshen up, and i was happy to see a clean restroom. 😍 moreover, we're probably the 2nd group of students to reside in these brandly new dorms. 😍 strangely, that's one of the things i'm looking forward to. 😛 😛 😛

The artist previously known as WorchesterPHOBoy, WorchesterPHOBoi, etc. He was originally banned for a comment to the tune of "lazy black admissions lady". It was deemed inappropriate, for obvious reasons.
 
Do we need a car during the first year? Do students carpool on the weekends to buy stuff at Target/Walmart? heh.

has anyone received mails giving info of next year tuition rate & housing ?

can u tell me how much the tuition is? (the old one is 32K/year) how much is for 1 single room in Living & Learning Center? how much is for student health insurance?

i'm afraid that i cannot afford to go here if i cannot borrow loan that can cover these basic costs. 🙁 🙁 🙁
 
Hey- What exactly is a Zipcar, I'm in Missouri where the only option you have is a car.
I know the apartments are fully furnished (bed and desk and stuf), but I'm not sure about small appliances. They have a fitness center across the street at the hostpital that we can use too.
I'm also really worried about finances too, I'm trying to figure out if I qualify for any federal financial aid since I already have a bachelor's degree. Any help wold be great!!

i asked this question about loans to my interviewer. He told me that students are able to get enough loans to cover the basics. However, they do advice students to spend reasonably and carefully...they don't want them to take too much loans.
The info on tution and housing is sent to you once to send them your deposit. They will mail you the packet.
I think students can get enough loans...so i wouldn't worry about money. Plus you can always get private loans......debt...debt...and more debt...lol....
 
I wonder how many students they will accept this year...I know that in fall 04 they accepted 271...I think they accepted less in fall 05, around 180 or something like that...anybody more sure about these figures?

We have 160 in our class this year, plus 40 students up in Manchester, NH, so we're really a class of 200. Obviously, they would have accepted more students because not everyone accepts their offer.
 
they've just replied my email, saying that next year tuition is $34,500. 😱

gonna rob a bank. anyone interested in joining me? 😀 😀

I got my financial aid awards and they gave me some freeeeee money. Time to buy some gold teeth... jk
 
I was worried I wouldn't get into Worchester so I didn't apply, instead I applied to the Boston Campus, I was wondering what your stats are. I have a B.S. in Biology and a Chemistry minor with an overall GPA of 3.4 and science of 3.2. Thanks

Are you talking to me?

I had a low GPA. Like 3.0. But MCPHS calculated really weird that it went up. Like if it was a lecture/lab combo they somehow used two grades...

anybody here is trying to find an appartment in the area or everybody is going to live in the school complex?
 
I'm hoping to live on campus, but I was looking for an apartment before I knew my bf wasn't coming with. It looks like there are quite a few nice apartments in the area, check craigslist or apartments.com

My interviewer told me that there is an apartment complex nearby where a lot of the pharmacy students live. If you don't want to live in the dorms, maybe you can email the admission counselor to find out the name of this place.

I am going to live in the dorms but I don't think they have a meal service. Do you guys remember any good places to eat nearby like a subway? I don' want to eat fast food everyday....

600 Main St. Apts. It's on at least one of the online apartment directories.

There's an italian restaurant across the street and a Subway a few blocks away. There are also a few pizza places and assorted sandwich shops in the area, but most of them aren't open for dinner. Lots of places here are open for just breakfast and lunch--it's a very wacky place. I also like the cafeteria across the street at St. Vincent's hospital.

Hmm. I forgot that there were nursing students and other students there. How many are there?

Rivatnt- you are living in the dorm? Could you confirm something for me? It's $825 to live in a studio (single) and $725 to live with roommates? Doesn't make sense to me!
